5. DRAWING ROOM WAS ACTUALLY CALLED WITHDRAWING ROOM WHERE PEOPLE WITHDREW AFTER DINNER. LATER THE PREFIX 'WITH' WAS DROPPED.
6. NEWS REFERS TO INFORMATION FROM 4 DIRECTIONS - North, East, West, South.
7. AG-MARK WHICH SOME PRODUCTS BEAR, STEMS FROM 'AGRICULTURAL MARKING'.
8. JOURNAL IS A DIARY WHICH TELLS ABOUT 'JOURNEY FOR A DAY' DURING EACH DAY'S BUSINESS.
9. QUEUE COMES FROM 'QUEEN'S QUEST'. LONG BACK A LONG ROW OF PEOPLE AS WAITING TO SEE THE QUEEN. SOMEONE MADE THE COMMENT QUEEN'S QUEST........
10. TIPS COMES FROM 'TO INSURE PROMPT SERVICE'. IN OLDEN DAYS TO GET PROMPT SERVANT FROM SERVANTS IN AN INN, TRAVELLERS USED TO DROP COINS IN A BOX ON WHICH WAS WRITTEN, 'TO INSURE PROMPT SERVICE'. THIS GAVE THE RISE TO THE CUSTOM OF TIPS.

Eesha's Take : 2 States.

Well, I'm not going to tell you everything about the book, so you can have fun reading it but here is a hint, yes, it is a love story with a happy ending........but the difference that it is not any love story, it is an inter-community marriage love story. Well you can imagine how much a hard core Punjabi lady would want a South Indian girl as her daughter-in-law!

The story starts with Krish, a Punjabi IIT guy and Ananya, a South Indian smart and modern girl. These two as you know, fall in love with each other, but their families, well I can say they can't stand each other. You should read if you also want to marry someone from another community, to find out what ways are used to get (pataao)the families to agree upon the marriage (I'm not telling you that.....even you have to read something). Its not a typical all-good love story, would call it a romantic comedy because i love words, phrases, sarcastic lines and funny lines Bhagat has used to express what he wants to. He writes in simple English , without using confusing, 20 letter words, but his work is fine.....so check out the 269 page book (yes, I read it recently) about Punjabi and Tamilian, Krish and Ananya and tell me how you like it........I would give it a 4 out of 5 for its cuteness ;)

B.T.W.......I'm going for I HATE LUV STORYS and I will give u my review soon....... DID YOU KNOW NEWS- EKTA KAPOOR is making a Hindi Serial based on Twilight Saga and the role of Edward Cullen would be played by Vivan Bhatena, who would b named Abhay in the serial....(read this recently).....What do you think about this....tell me.

So true...huh?

Well I completely agree to this because I feel that reading textbooks is not enough, and a person who does not read anything, is a blind man. No matter how many marks that person might get, he is a bookworm. There is a very big difference which can be seen between a person who reads and one who doesn't. I am sure if I go around in school asking if the kids read or not, most of the answers will start with an 'N' and end with an 'O'. Why is it so that people are not interested in reading others' opinions but rather playing the XBOX OR PS3 and sitting for more than half the day on FACEBOOK. If one reads a lot, one writes well and a piece of good writing can change minds.

I remember that in class 6 we read a chapter about a blind girl who would touch and feel everything and she said that every person who can see does not see the beauty of nature and people who cannot see want to see it.

So I say people who can read should read, and the ones who still don't read and next to fools.

So if you want to read, a nice and light book to start with, read 2 states or One night @ the call center by CHETAN BHAGAT......I love his books and you can check them out, you may like them!!
